“God” has become such a common catch-all term for deity used by people of all faiths that it is often given a casual affirmation of presumed agreement as to the identity and/or concept of God, irrespective of any theological differentiation. In the English translations of the Hebrew and Greek Bible texts, the overuse of God as a singular proper noun has led to its almost universal acceptance as the proper name for principal deity throughout the Judeo-Christian religious culture, obfuscating some very important distinctions in the Hebrew.

The principal Hebrew deity of the Bible is properly identified as the Almighty Father God, Lord Yahweh. His personal introduction to the Exodus Jews was through Moses at Mount Sinai where he first became known to them by the sacred name spelled with the Hebrew letters YHWH. Over time, vowels were added to this mysterious Tetragrammaton to form YaHWeH (alternately YeHoViH) which, by the twelfth century AD, evolved to JeHoVaH or Jehovah, the most common English rendering of the name besides Yahweh. However, most Semitic language scholars agree that the name Yahweh is the most accurate rendering of the name of the Hebrew national God of the Bible.

Despite numerous explicit biblical commandments regarding the importance of recording and honoring this distinctive sacred name, and its appearance in the Hebrew texts more than 6,400 times, “Yahweh” is almost universally rendered simply as Lord, Lord God, or Sovereign Lord in all but a few modern versions of the English Bible. This extraordinary practice of omitting the sacred name of the Bible’s Almighty God, both in the written text and common speech, is defended by biblical translators with the odd assertion that it demonstrates a tradition of reverence for the name Yahweh. In other words, according to this peculiar view, God’s name is too sacred to speak or even to write!

Thus, the personal identity of the Almighty God of the biblical religion has been displaced through the arbitrary substitution of vague, monotheistic terminology in the texts. Not to put too fine a point on the subject, but one might well speculate how strange the biblical texts would read if the same standard were applied to the Bible’s other principle characters and the Bible’s translators simply substituted “man” or “woman” for their proper given names!

The other frequently used Hebraic term of great respect for the authority of Yahweh is the word adon, or Adonai (emphatic), approximating the English title Master or Lord. In addition to its usage in reference to Yahweh and also his highly revered emissaries, this title of respect was an accepted reference and formal address for a human authority figure, according to Hebrew culture of biblical times. Adonai (or Adonay) is, however, most frequently associated with Yahweh, either by direct attachment to his name or by contextual reference, in order to identify him as the Lord of the Hebrew nation and to accord him supremacy above all other gods.

Many otherwise literate Bible students may be unaware that the Hebrew writers of the Bible believed in and taught the existence of a vast race of extraterrestrial gods whom they called the elohim. To correct a very common misconception, elohim is neither the proper name nor an exclusive designation for the principle Hebrew god, Yahweh. While this distinctive plural noun is well known by scholars to be correctly translated “mighty ones” and is found throughout the Hebrew texts some 2,570 times, it has been consistently translated as God, singular proper noun, in all but a few instances where it is arbitrarily rendered gods, angels, sons of God, and (rarely) mighty ones.

It should be emphasized that elohim is a term used by the Hebrew writers regardless of whether the particular beings referred to are seen as benevolent or malevolent, and also for specific pagan gods (see Jdg 2:11-13; Jdg 10:6; 1 Kgs 11:33; 2 Kgs 1:2). It is also the very same word used in reference to all of the unnamed strange or alien gods found throughout the bible texts, the worship of whom was strictly forbidden. Such gods are frequently associated with graven images and unlawful religious practices including animal and human ritual sacrifice, but are also portrayed as living, active beings or mighty ones, as in “new gods (elohim) who came recently whom your fathers did not dread” (Deu 32:16-17). The important point being that the plurality of extraterrestrial elohim (or “gods”, high and low) identified throughout the Bible reveals the authentic theological perspective of the original Hebrew writers, making the identification and differentiation of deity an extremely important matter.

In ancient Hebrew thought, besides Lord Yahweh, multiple gods referred to in the Bible (e.g. Baal-zebub, Dagon, the goddess Ashtoreth, the angels Gabriel and Michael, and also the one commonly called the devil or Satan) were all considered elohim, whether divine or evil. Basic research of common reference sources will reveal this little-known bible fact. To further clarify the correctness of the diverse and plural usage of elohim, the singular form of the word is eloah (rarely used), or simply el, most often used conjunctively to form compound words and names that denote divine power or might (e.g. elshaddai, Israel, Bethel, etc.).

The only permissible usage of elohim as a singular noun, despite its plural word form or the absence of a grammatically proper adverb or preposition, is when elohim is definitively identified, by name or designation, with the principle elohim authority figure, Lord Yahweh. In such cases this usage may be viewed as both a personal and racial identification in the same way that an extraterrestrial god might introduce the former English Monarch as Humankind’s King James, or simply James, Humankind. Thus also do the biblical texts alternately refer to the Hebrew god as Adonai Yahweh, Yahweh-Elohim, or Elohim Adonai (i.e., Lord Yahweh, Yahweh of the Elohim, and Elohim Lord, respectively).

The Greek translations present a unique challenge over the Semitic language texts. For example, with respect to the common practice of rendering the Greek theos as “God”, a presumed reference to the Hebrew Lord Yahweh, determining the plural form (i.e., Heb. elohim, “gods” or “mighty ones”) or rendering it as an adjective or adverb (divine, godlike, godly, etc.) is complicated. One must ascertain from the context of a particular passage of scripture which usage is most accurate. If a problem arises concerning a specific word translation, maintaining a Hebrew rather than Greek perspective will facilitate the best interpretation of a text. We should keep in mind that the literature that comprises our English Bible, including the New Testament, was originally written by Jews who were well acquainted with and communicated basic Hebrew theology, frequently quoting Old Testament Hebrew scriptures. The NT writers also were literate in classical Hebrew and Aramaic, the common language of the historic biblical region of Palestine.

Naturally, they communicated in their native language, rather than Greek, and would have no doubt written the synoptic gospels as well as the letters which form the New Testament in Aramaic and/or Hebrew whenever writing to their Semitic brethren. Paul, a citizen of Rome, literate in Greek and Hebrew, may have penned some of his letters in Greek (e.g., his letter to the Romans) and others in Hebrew. The text of the Hebrews letter would almost certainly have been written in Hebrew or Aramaic. Sadly, the originals have been lost to time, however it is widely acknowledged that copies of both Greek and Aramaic texts date to the first century church. Yet a long-standing bias which favors Greek versus Aramaic primacy with regard to translating the NT literature has resulted in much controversy among language scholars. A decidedly Greek inspired (and some would say anti-Semitic) interpretation has found its way into many NT texts with the original Aramaic names of both people and places altered. Current English translations of the NT from Greek and Latin codices often vary significantly from the Semitic translations.

“Lord Yeshua”

Yeshua is the Aramaic birth name which the NT translators have rendered “Jesus” from the Greek Iesous (pron. ee-yay-soos). According to NT scripture, Yeshua would thus be the actual name which the angel of the Lord, Gabriel, instructed his parents to name him at birth (see Luke 1:26-31). A slight spelling variant of Yoshua (i.e., Joshua), the name means savior, or deliverer, in Hebrew. The Greek-to-English rendering “Jesus Christ” is not the authentic sacred name conferred upon the NT Messiah by the Father God, Yahweh, and does not even approximate the correct spelling or pronunciation of Yeshua ha Meshiach in the Hebrew. [Note: “Christ” derives from the Greek word kristos, meaning “anointed/smeared with oil” and does not represent the full and precise meaning attached to “Messiah”.]

The true biblical names of the Father, Lord Yahweh, and the Son, Lord Yeshua, need not be a controversial subject and are not difficult names to write or speak. Even for those unaccustomed to saying the name Yeshua, it is surely worthy of some respectful consideration. According to the divine word as it was originally communicated in Aramaic, Yeshua is a “name above every other name that can be named” (see Philippians 2:9) and the “only name by which one can be saved” (see Acts 4:12). Thus the Greek and Latin translations of the NT by scribes appointed by the early Roman church has resulted in the alteration of the sacred, God-given name of Yeshua, the Messiah, in all but a few modern English Bibles. There are, nevertheless, many Semitic language scholars in the Middle East, and also increasingly in the West, who are committed to the restoration of the Aramaic language and cultural influence in Bible translation, particularly with respect to honoring the Bible’s sacred names.

If for some personal reason one just doesn't like to use the Lord’s real name and is firmly committed to using the name Jesus instead, do I think this is an offense? Truly, I wouldn't presume to say. It may simply be a matter of personal choice without any spiritual effect one way or the other. Certainly who one believes in, and the name(s) we invoke, does seem to be an important scriptural teaching however. Personally, I am comfortable using the name Yeshua, but I also understand the thoroughly established Christian tradition that reinforces the near universally accepted usage of the Greek-to-English “Jesus Christ”. This may be viewed simply as an unintentional error on the part of believing Christians that derives from a faulty and insensitive translation process down through the ages. Perhaps what is most important is one’s spiritual relationship with Lord Yeshua with the decision on whether or not to use this most sacred of names left as a matter of personal choice.

Is Yeshua God?

The NT references to the Hebrew god as Father is understood to be an implicit reference to Yahweh and needs no further comment as to his identity. It is apparent that the term Father was deliberately chosen by Yeshua to introduce his relationship to Yahweh as well as the intimate, familial concept of his kingdom, a central theme of NT teaching. Through his assertion of intimacy with the Father and the mighty ones of his heavenly kingdom, or cosmic empire, Yeshua encountered immediate hostility from the Jewish religious leaders of his day. They interpreted this identification as a blasphemous declaration that he himself was one of the elohim (e.g., Jno 5:18; 10:30-39; 14:6-11). Numerous statements attributed to Yeshua and his disciples make it clear that he claimed a divine birthright and authority as the prophesied Hebrew Messiah. But nowhere does the New Testament emphatically assert that Yeshua is principle deity, the Father, or Almighty God, a dogmatic position nevertheless asserted throughout history by institutional Christianity. Clearly the NT presents Yeshua, who called himself the Son of Man, as being fully human and many would say that he also is fully “God”. This view of deity places Lord Yeshua as identical or equal to the Almighty God and Father, Lord Yahweh. This is not, however, an accurate representation of the whole of NT scripture or the views of the early Hebrew disciples of the faith.

It is evident in NT scripture that Yeshua acknowledged the Father as superior to himself (e.g., Jno 5:22,24; 5:30; 5:43,44; 12:49,50; 14:28; Mat 24:35,36; Mar 13:32; Act 1:7), always prayed to or personally addressed the Father with praise and gratitude (e.g., Jno Ch.17; Mat 6:5-15; 11:25,26; Luk 10:21, 22:42; Jno 11:41), and repeatedly said that the Father resided in heaven (or the cosmos) while he himself was physically on earth. He also specifically instructs his disciples (then and now) to likewise pray to the Father with the right to invoke his own name, Yeshua, as a form of personal introduction. In the Hebrew culture of the day, this was a great honor that bestowed a venerated master’s own status and authority upon a beloved disciple or household member. It is not, however, reasonable to adopt a legalistic position on the matter of prayer, as if to say that addressing Lord Yeshua directly in prayer, praise, or private spiritual conversation, as has always been the habit of faithful devotees, is in any way wrong. The joy and comfort that comes through exercising a great degree of liberty in one’s intimate spiritual relationship with a personal Lord Yeshua has always been a central feature of the New Testament faith.

It is not the intention of this commentary to upset anyone about their usage of “Jesus Christ” rather than Lord Yeshua or argue His deification, but only to help clarify the authentic views of the Hebrew writers pertaining to the true identifications of biblical deity and to respectfully uphold the sacred names. Most particularly, it is my hope that this will serve as an encouragement to believers to exercise better judgment when it comes to the term “God” and remember that the NT writers clearly understood and believed in Hebrew theology pertaining to all of the different gods among the elohim kind, in a vast universe. When asked the overly simplistic question, “Do you believe in God?” I sometimes respond “Which one?” This kind of response simply communicates my understanding of the authentic biblical view of deity revealed succinctly in the following NT scripture:

“For though there are so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, as indeed there are numerous gods and numerous lords, for us there is only one God, the Father…and one Lord, [Yeshua Messiah]….” 1 Cor 8:5,6.

According to John Eidsmoe, the U S Constitution was heavily influenced by Christianity.  That is the thesis of his book Christianity and the Constitution.  Published in 1987 by Baker House, the book is 415 pages in length.

The book leads off with a survey of various philosophical schools popular in the 18th Century, not least of which was Calvinism.  Mr. Eidsmoe states that a majority of Americans were Calvinist, but fails to demonstrate its influence on the Founders.

The book deals briefly with "John Locke's social contract theory," which is said to be the "secular expression" of the covenant.  Mr. Eidsmoe equates the two, a usual tactic of Christian Federalists to explain away the obvious secularism of the U S Constitution.

For example, he glosses over Locke's humanism with the assertion that he was "a Puritan by background" who "based his political theories on Rutherford's Lex Rex."  Thus he excuses Locke's humanism and Latitudinarianism to arrive at an very tenuous conclusion.  John Locke was a Puritan prodigal, not a faithful son.

Mr. Eidsmoe's repeated confusion of social contract theory and Bible covenant is his biggest problem.  He naively mistakes the preamble of the U S Constitution as a commitment to Bible covenantalism, instead of the godless social contract which it is.  This confusion is typical of Christian Constitutionalists, who frequently equate the Constitution and the Word of God.

Another chapter looks at aspects of 18th Century Puritanism such as optimistic eschatology and the application of Biblical law to all of life.  The author wants his reader to draw the conclusion that these were incorporated into the U S Constitution.  But this does not follow.  The first Great Awakening of 1742 is described as a revival of Puritanism.  This tenuous conclusion supports the non sequitor that Puritanism was built into the U S Constitution of 1787.

Several aberrant philosophies of the time are also discussed, including Freemasonry and Deism.  Freemasonry is introduced and then waved off as an innocent social club, useful for political and business networking.  Mr. Eidsmoe simply ignores the anti-Christian oaths integral to Freemasonry.

It is hard to summarize all the problems in the chapter on "Law and Government".  For one thing, Mr. Eidsmoe presents Montesquieu as a champion of Biblical law.  In reality Montesquieu took the Bible as but one among many authorities, with all subject to natural law.

Likewise Blackstone's Common Law is presented as a compendium of Biblical law par excellence.  The fact of the matter was it had morphed into a barnacle- laiden anachronism by the 1750s.  For example, some 200 mostly petty crimes carried the death penalty.  Most juries refused to enforce it because it was so obviously unjust.

In reality Blackstone rarely even mentioned the Bible in his Commentaries.  We assume Mr. Eidsmoe has read Blackstone, so he should be aware of that.

Returning to Locke, Mr. Eidsmoe justifies his humanism and "blank slate" theory of the mind, which denies original sin.  Again he draws the faulty conclusion that Locke's "social compact theory is similar to the Calvinist idea of covenant."  This is a misleading statement because the two ideas are diametrically opposed.  They represent the authority of man versus the authority of God.

All of these misperceptions color the religious biographies of the founders which comprise most of the book.  For example, of John Witherspoon he notes that "He devoted his life to instilling the principles of Holy Scripture into the minds and souls of young men who then used these principles to shape America."

It is difficult to see how anyone who has read Witherspoon's class notes for his  moral philosophy class could draw such a conclusion.  Moral philosophy was the culminating class of the curriculum that Witherspoon taught personally to all the graduating seniors at the College of New Jersey.  They are an exposition of natural law and secular social contract theory, with very little reference to Holy Scripture.

Typical of Christian apologists for the U S Constitution Mr. Eidsmoe spends a good deal of time arguing that the Founding Fathers were all solid Christians.  The usual assumption is that if we can prove the founders were Christian, the document they gave us must of necessity be Christian.  But this is a non-sequitor.  Space does not permit us to say all that could be said of these biographies.

At the end, Mr. Eidsmoe lists all of the alleged biblical principles he has found in the U S Constitution.  But most of what he cites is Enlightenment theory of the natural rights of man, egalitarianism, and natural law.  The "consent of the governed" is the source of governing authority rather than God.

Mr. Eismoe is correct in concluding that knowledge of the sinfulness of man prompted  the Constitution's limited, delegated powers.  This is the one point at which the Founders got it right, and we have Witherspoon to thank for that.  But overall the complexities of this book should limit its use to the advanced student who is well-versed in the issues involved.

Vioxx has just been removed and Aleve has been in question. How many times have you heard this type of news? It’s to be expected repeatedly in the future. But who cares? After all, you pay a good chunk for it and your outrageous pricey insurance feed the wealthy doctors abuses in this dangerous cocktail piracy. Someone has to maintain the DRUGLORDS outlandish lifestyle, never mind that it impoverishes your family’s meager resources. You are just a commodity. Some others are naive enough to make candidates of their body, mind, and spirits by responding to deceptive radio and television advertisements of better lifestyles free from pain if they “try” the lethal product under the doctors or nurses “all knowing” supervision. The scientific community is well aware of the serious damage any new drug can and will inflict on the human “guinea pigs” but who cares it is not their own children they use.

Furthermore, you will never EVER see any of those scientists testing their own antidote! Someone like Marie Curie was a real scientist with genuine integrity. She injected herself with some vaccines she made, and died in the process. The well-established, wealthy pharmaceutical corporations cleverly hide their self-seeking financial motivations behind the word science and dangerous researches. New names are formulated daily to classify the new deadly medicines, and even new “dis-eases” are added, so the medicine can be sold as a valuable healing products to the uneducated trusting masses. Very much like NASA in need of your taxes to amuse themselves building robots for Mars knowing well it is humanly impossible to live outside of our solar system. But hey, you are gullible and it works why stopping? Gee Am I glad the Dragon’s Tail of President Obama in Aquarius (Humanitarian and detrimental to anything absurd like these costly wasteful programs) is in full action.

The statistics are real and don’t lie. Licensed medical surgeons and doctors will kill over 1 million people each year in hospitals all over the US due to medical mistakes, wrong diagnosis involving blood transfusions, toxic drugs and surgical errors. That adds up to more losses in human lives than all the combined wars this great country ever suffered.

I really see the medical field failing miserably in some areas, as there are more deaths by cancer and heart attacks nowadays then a decade ago. Over a million US citizens have and will die of those plagues each year. Your doctors will make you believe they can fix your disease or poison it out of your body with drugs or surgery. More must be known so that we stay healthy and do not contract these diseases in the first place. In reality you are far from healing yourself but receiving only a quick and financially exorbitant fix. I know I paid a fortune for my own fix when I could easily avoided this terrible experience had I practiced a bit more what I preach to others…Yes that’s the beauty of being me, honest and real I am not afraid of kicking my own butt for my stupidity.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -12/17/04 – Pfizer cites Celebrex heart attack risk.
With a new study that indicates the nation’s leading arthritis painkiller could raise the risk of heart attacks, the Food and Drug Administration advised doctors Friday to consider “alternative therapy” to Celebrex. “We need to fully understand the information that we got last night.” When the company learned of the study’s findings, Pfizer spokesman Paul Fitzhenry said, adding it has “no plans to take Celebrex off the market.” The new findings for Celebrex come 11 weeks after Merck & Co. recalled Vioxx, a similar arthritis drug. A Vioxx study found the drug doubled the incidence of heart attack and stroke among patients taking it to prevent colon polyps that cause cancer.

More FDA advice came on today December 21, 2004 – ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN)
– The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to users of the over-the-counter pain reliever naproxen Monday after federal researchers found an increased number of heart attacks and strokes among users. The warning followed recent studies linking two prescription arthritis drugs to cardiovascular problems.

This is simply, dangerously ridiculous. There are already too many stock investments in pharmaceutical corporations that could really hurt the pockets of those CEOs who don’t really care about you and your health but your money. So the # 1 drug maker has NO PLANS to pull the nasty drug off the market. News of the drug’s problems sends the stocks tumbling, but the No.1 drug maker STILL HAS NO PLAN TO PULL THE DRUG OFF THE MARKET?

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) – Pfizer Inc. said Friday it had no plans to pull the popular painkiller Celebrex off the market despite data showing that patients using the drug in a long-term cancer study had more than double the risk of a heart attack. They really don’t care about any one of us.

ALL DRUGS are lethal to your body PERIOD! Celebrex was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 1998 for arthritis pain, and has been prescribed to 27 million Americans and is the world’s most widely prescribed arthritis drug. I can guarantee you that out of those 27 million people, many will suffer and die from the side effects. In the long run the drug may be worse than the arthritis itself and many have shortened their lives by many priceless years. New York-based Pfizer said in October that Bextra, another painkiller similar to Vioxx, might raise heart attack risk in some patients having heart bypass surgery. And doctors wrote in a medical journal Friday that physicians should stop prescribing Bextra, which like Celebrex and Vioxx is in the COX-2 inhibitor class of painkillers. How more stupid can it get?

ATTITUDE – There are a number of attitudes which enhance prayer: Repentance, humility, joyfulness, patience, thankfulness, selflessness etc. or, conversely, There are a number of attitudes which inhibit prayer: stinginess, anger, selfishness, self-righteousness, self exaltation etc.

Some examples can be seen in Lk.18:9-14 and Mt.6:2-8. By far the greatest testimony regarding attitude and prayer is given in Heb.5:7: "During the days of Jesus' life on Earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears… and He was heard BECAUSE OF HIS REVERENT SUBMISSION". So, clearly, the first component of true prayer is to… PRAY WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE.

COMPASSION – There are numerous examples of compassion: Love (greek. agape-meaning fellowship, love), mercy, kindness, goodness, friendship, acceptance etc. Two of the most prevalent in Scriptures are love and mercy. There is an amazing provision made by God to allow us to restore fellowship with Him: The act of baptism for the forgiveness of sin (Ac.2:38). Paul tells Titus that God saved us BECAUSE OF His MERCY (Titus 3:4-5). He exhorts the husbands in the church at Ephesus to LOVE their wives "as Christ loved the church. (Eph.5:25-26). Let us NOT MISS this tremendous provision so that we may truly… PRAY HAVING RECEIVED AND DEMONSTRATED COMPASSION.

TRUTH – God IS truth…. Idolatry, falseness, lies and deceit are the natural realm of the devil. The Old Testament abounds with illustrations of God's people being "led astray to mute idols". God sent prophets again and again but the people failed to respond. Jeremiah Chapter 7 is an excellent overall reference containing this scathing indictment: "This is the nation that HAS NOT OBEYED THE LORD or RESPONDED TO CORRECTION… TRUTH HAS PERISHED" (Jer.7:27-28). What was the consequence of this lack of TRUTH?… "DO NOT PRAY FOR THIS PEOPLE… for I WILL NOT LISTEN TO YOU" (Jer.7:16). Can we be in idolatry today? Very much so! Not so much in the physical sense but, absolutely, in the spiritual sense. The word, idolatry (the offspring of falseness), in the New Testament comes from two Greek words: "eidos" meaning forms and "latreia" meaning worship, ministry or service. Are we participants in only forms of worship, forms of ministry and forms of service? If so, forgiveness is available so that we may… PRAY IN TRUTH.

STANDING – In the Old Testament the way God gives us to understand this is COVENANT. People were either IN COVENANT or OUT OF COVENANT (bluntly God was either FOR them or AGAINST them). The New Testament Scriptures verify that Jesus came as the MEDIATOR of a NEW AND BETTER covenant. How do we come into this covenant? "We were all BAPTIZED by one Spirit into one body" (1Cor.12:13) – THE BODY OF CHRIST. Being IN CHRIST is a key New Testament principle with numerous stated benefits. Here are seven of them:

1. We are INCLUDED
2. There is NO CONDEMNATION
3. We become SONS (DAUGHTERS)
4. There is a FULLNESS OF POWER GIVEN
5. We FORM ONE BODY
6. We are CALLED HEAVENWARD
7. We are given the GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE

There are four possible positions in which we may be found regarding being IN CHRIST:

1. We can be IN CHRIST and ACT like we are IN CHRIST
2. We can be IN CHRIST but ACT as though we are NOT IN CHRIST
3. We can NOT BE IN CHRIST but THINK THAT WE ARE IN CHRIST
4. We can NOT BE IN CHRIST and KNOW we are NOT IN CHRIST

The only mark of being in right STANDING (ie IN CHRIST) is the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. He is the Spirit of TRUTH, the ATTITUDE Changer, the Prompter of COMPASSION and the Restorer of STANDING. How do we get this gift?… By being a son/daughter of God (Gal.3:26). Those who can truly call God, Father, just need to ask (Lk.11:13. YOU MUST BE IN RIGHT STANDING WHEN YOU PRAY.

So here's the question! Are you truly in THE BODY OF CHRIST (ie IN RIGHT STANDING)?.. If so, make no mistake about it: YOUR PRAYERS WILL BE ANSWERED.

It amazes me that famous speakers, writers, healers from all walks of life who make a full time job helping others become indirectly their killers. It especially amazes me that notorious New Age groups' Leaders operating on Indian Land reservations ignore the Universal Law of the Moon and schedule meetings, lectures, healing workshops totally against the Cosmic Code jurisdictions.

The very core of Indian culture has a direct relationship to the moon and these people are totally oblivious of this fact. It amazes me that all spiritual leaders from all walks of life, from top respected religious authorities all the way down to a local priest or minister as a *messenger of God have absolutely no clue of the signs coming from the heavens. It amazes me that those in power all the way up from top government officials and leading scientists to the common mortal walking the street are still unwilling to honor the word investigation or simply show a small dose of curiosity. It amazes me that; the vast majority if not all of those people in position of power and molding innocent lives daily have absolutely no clue of God's Divine plan.

OMG in what world did I land on? Am I the only one able to perceive the obvious reality of the Cosmic Code impacting humankind daily? Am I the only one witnessing its jurisdiction upon men, nature and the never ending changing flow of dramatic news?When will the responsible elites of this world, scientific, political and religious advocates ever wake up and realize that keeping their heads solely into scientific and/or religious books and trusting their embryonic wisdom is detrimental for humanity at large?

I have reported and pointed out for years how important it is for humankind the heed God' signs and used unlimited amount of dramatic news where countless people have lost their precious lives in the name of ignorance and here I am AGAIN reminding the reader of another fated act. Imagine one second how can any of your chosen spiritual leaders represent wisdom, light, safety, enlightenment, spiritual growth and God himself when they have no clue of his Divine celestial language? These two people did not have to die, as much as some unaware, unlucky parents who lost their little girl to the Grand Canyon Indian spirit for ignoring the "Universal Law of the Moon". Two of my best friends are American natives and like their people they will intuitively resent anyone disrespectful of the spirits.

Many "wise" souls speak much more than what they can or will deliver to their attendances, the deplorable Arizona case is obvious but life goes on, regardless they are still on the road attracting more moronic followers. These people are authorities on the subjects of self empowerment, building a better life, making millionaires and authors of the best-selling books etc. They appeared on CNN's "Larry King Live" and the "Oprah Winfrey Show," etc. but the deadly fact remains; there is only one thin hair between Divine information and pure imagination…

These intellectual authorities on the subjects of Universal Laws and 'master of the secrets" are lecturing and dangerously gathering people against the very core of the Laws they pretend to know and the results are tragic. In any and every one of my public meetings I always check the stars and the "Moon Power" to make sure my clients, patients and students have a very safe and productive time and this is the vital difference between true wisdom and respecting God' signs. You make your choice reader, for if you trust anyone depraved of Cosmic Consciousness and join him or her in a venture, you may have to also pay also the penalty of ignorance. Remember the part of God in you, or your will is much stronger than the stars and the Moon. Thus with real wisdom, it become your own power to handle the moon power at your advantage. The DNA findings are the work of an English doctor who spent two decades working on the study.

I was 95% sure that there is life after physical death and after reading Obley's "I'm Still with You", she confirmed my belief 110%. Anyone needing help in spiritual healing from loss or help in coping with the pain will definitely want to read Carole's book. I felt like I was crawling across a desert and her book was a spring at an oasis I came across and could not drink deep enough fast enough. I have now ordered her CD and second book. 3 Stars Why Spirit Communication Still Matters
I have long been interested in the art and craft of spirit communication, twenty-five years or more, so I speak from a place of knowledge when I say Carole J. Obley's book is a very fine example of the genre.

She writes of her experiences with candor, charm and authority. People, in all the various stages of the grieving process, come to her for solace, comfort, healing and knowledge, and these she provides in spades. Readers will be uplifted and enlightened.

Although mediumship has become almost common knowledge with its eruption onto our television screens these past few years, there is still great value in books such as this, for many subtleties that cannot be adequately dealt with on screen can be more effectively detailed in print.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to both the seasoned veteran and the newcomer.

5 Stars Almost perfect
This is the book I recommend to all my technical friends who are wondering what quantum computing is about. Brown writes with astonishing lucidity and an intense focus on what he's trying to communicate. If this book has a flaw, it's that I think it gives Deutsch and the many-universes interpretation of QM a bit too much airtime. Deutsch's views are well-presented in many other places and it dilutes this book somewhat to spend so much time on him when it really isn't necessary.

I don't understand the review that said this book wasn't technical enough. Yes, it's not a textbook for learning how to write quantum algorithms. But it does have detailed quantum circuit diagrams for a number of useful or interesting ones. When I read this book I finally saw enough of the details to "get it". I launched from this directly into the scientific literature without getting too terribly lost.

I would recommend this book over Milburn's "The Feynman Processor". Milburn knows his material but he tends to wander a lot. His book is OK and useful, but this one is better. I'd put it in the same class as Gleick's "Chaos".

In The Quest for the Quantum Computer, Julian Brown takes a look at the emerging field of Quantum Computing, a field that could potentially revolutionize many fields of computing and far-edge technology, such as cryptography, information theory, higher mathematics, and nanotechnology.

So what is a Quantum Computer, anyway?

A Quantum computer, in Brown's term (derived from the work of David Deutsch and Richard Feynman), is a computer based on an atom-scale architecture that, rather than using standard digital logic gates, uses logic gates based on "qubits", or quantum bits, that can carry a bit with a value of 1, 0, or any position that could theoretically exist in between. Such a computer could be used to process massive matrices of information in paralell, and solve mathematical problems previously thought impossible to answer.

If not, the book isn't for you. It's quite dense, and filled with logical and mathematical jargon- it was clearly intended to be a "popular" book for a select audience- people with physics, engineering, mathematics, and computer science backgrounds. But if you're interested in "the new physics", on-the-edge computing, or future technologies in general, pick this book up.

While reading it I couldn't help having the feeling that the book is written by a journalist with superficial knowledge of the field. The books seems to be a collection of interviews and quotes, weakly woven. It was a pleasant easy reading though.

5 Stars nice rundown of quatum computing
This book is both a good introduction to quatum computing, and quantum mechanics in general. The only knock against this book, is that the author sometimes gets confused as to who his audience is. This book is on the one hand written in a 'popular' style (eg, "Brief History of Time"), but is also very challenging and techincal. I'd say the intended audience people have a strong background in computer science. Without any technical background, you'll get lost very early on, as your eyes glaze over reading his descriptions of public-key cryptography, and diagrams of quantum algorithms (complete with reversible controlled-NOT gates). A working knowledge of logic and discrete math will help a lot here. Not a simple book to digest, but because it's written in the 'popular' style, it is immensely enjoyable and satisfying, *if* you're interested in the topic, and have the proper background to absorb it.

5 Stars Reversible Logic Gate – Reversible computer
1. In 1994 Peter Shor, discovered how a quantum computer could solve important mathematical problem, one that had long been known to be beyond the reach of ordinary computers.

2. The key to unlocking factors of large numbers, n is which numbers when multiplied together produce n, and normally this is known only by the intended recipient. Shor demonstrated how a quantum computer could factors the number very quickly. If anyone could build a full-scale quantum computer, it's possible that he would be able to access everything. If anybody is going to build one of these machines, the intelligence agencies are making certain they will know about it first. A 250 digit number that is a product of two large prime numbers using shors algorithm would be able to compute simultaneously along as many as 10^500 or more different pathways. Duetsch in his book Fabric of Reality says such unimaginably large number presents believers in a single universe a problem: there are only about 10^80 atoms in the entire visible universe. Duetsch believes that there exists almost limitless number of universes and we normally only experience reality only within one of the universes.

3. The more neutral language physic prefer is to say that quantum states occupy a vast, abstract multidimensional space known as Hilbert space.

4. Stan Williams predicts around 2010 progress in semiconductor transistor density will slow as we enter the quantum era.

5. Ed Fredkin argued that computing power will continue to increase for a 100 years as chip manufacturers will be able to extend their devices into three dimensions. In the 21st century, Fredkin predicted CUP with an Avogadro's number of processing elements (10^24).

6. Quantum mechanics dictates that an atom the electron can occupy only one of the set of discrete energy levels. It turns out the electron can find itself in both orbits simulatenously, a superposition of the ground and excited states. Superpositoins is related to entanglements. Entanglement is the ability of quantum systems to exhibit correlations between states within a superposition. If we have two qubits each in a superpositions of 0 and 1, the qubits are said to be entangled if the measurement of the other qubit. Quantum entanglement enable us to link quantum registers so that whenever an answer appears in one register, we can always look in the other to find out what number generated it.

7. From a many-universe perspective, quantum computation affords the possibility of massive parallelism by taking advantage of parallel universes instead of parallel processors.

8. Fredkin breakthrough was the reversible logic gate with the possibility of creating a conservative logic system. Full reversibility demands that no energy is wasted by the gate. Tom Toffoli wonder if he could make a Celluar Automata reversible. Each time the celluar automaton cycles, it places a copy of its previous state on the stack. Reversing the CA is then simply a matter of looking back through the stack. CA were capable of universal computation and proved it was possible to construct a reversible computer. A single cell can not tell you about the past. Therefore, for a CA to be reversible, the whole neighborhood must somehow retain a memory of each individual cell's previous state. Second-order rule, the next state of each cell was determined not only by the neighborhood but also by the neighborhood's previous state, yielding a tame CA universe. Toffoli said, "nature has been continually computing the next state of the universe for billions of years. All we have to do is hitch a ride on this huge ongoing computation and try to discover which parts of it happen to go near to where we want."

9. Fredkin estimated the total amount of compution going on in the universe. A CA operated at the tiniest quantum scale knows as Planck length and Plank time would only need to be the size of a biggish star to simulate the entire macroscopic evolution of our universe from the Big Bang to the present in about four hours.

10. The problem in building a quantum computer to simulate weather is reading the answers. The best we can hope for is performing a computation that somehow depends on all of the many pathways coming together. What makes a quantum computer different from classical machine is the possibility it offers for massive parallelism within a single piece of hardware.

Though I am not done yet with the entire book, the author throughly eplains very complex theories with a easy to understand (simple) and graceful style.

5 Stars Black Hole War with Winners Everywhere
Professor Susskind's book is not just a popularization: it's a chronicle of discovery and of the people involved. It echos Watson's Double Helix with Hawking playing the role of Pauling, but it's far more fair, yet unsettling. Scientists stand on the shoulders of previous great scientists, and it's clear that Susskind and the many other scientists he describes stand on the shoulders of Hawking, but also they have surpassed him, and they know it. At times, it is like reading words of physicists who arrived after Einstein like Heisenberg, Dirac, …, in real time. These are greats who in many ways moved passed Einstein. Susskind and friends are the greats who have moved passed Hawking. If only for this reason, this book allows the reader to be a fly on the wall of science history, and it's fun the read.

But it is much more.

My knowledge of nuclear physics, while not deep, is not trivial. In the 1970's I worked in the Stanford Physics department and was well aware of the whys and hows of the linear accelerator and PEP. Now, I might as well be a worthless witch doctor at Johns Hopkins.

Be ready to be dazzled. Alice in Wonderland doesn't come close to the reality of the Holographic Principle – yes, Virginia, you're a hologram. The wild woollies of string theory or the math of strings (spinning elementary particles) amazes and Susskind makes it fairly clear without any equations. Smart guy holding the endowed Felix Block chair of Physics at Stanford. He is no lightweight. He does briefly state one or two objections to this "Plank Area" world. Basically, string theory has not been proven – it simply works better than anything else. More subtly, it hasn't been shown to be unique. Another mathematical approach may be more "true." Even more importantly, the emphasis on dualism between elementary particles and protons/neutrons etc is questionable. Physicists believe in dualism; perhaps too much.

Consider that recently the Poincare Conjecture was proven – so 19th century! The proof required dealing with scale, getting close to a surface requires different math than being far away. Physicists don't seem to know this issue may actually apply to them in subtle ways that their hubris may preclude. And that's the rub. All talk, no experiments, but for good reason: to test out their theories would a take a linear accelerator the size of the milky way. Oh yeah, one of the ideas of really modern physics is that small things are heavier than big things. When this starts making sense, you become self-aware of your sanity: alt world is the world.

In short, Susskind delivers an accessible tour de force of science today from the view of giants. If you're serious about knowing how the world really works, not in the simple political sense, read this.

I really did enjoy reading this book by Susskind. It is an easy but deep and complete explanation of the holographic universe idea, with a lot of flashbacks of how Susskind arrived to it and had to fight with Hawking (and the astronomy community) before it was accepted and considered as a breaktrough towards the unification/understanding of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics.

So, go and get it!

4 Stars The Most Entertaining Astrophysics Book I Ever Read
I have read so many books on astrophysics, including those written by Stephen Hawking, to answer my curiosity on space-related issues. I found this book to be particularly entertaining because of the way the author focuses his story telling on the war between the two camps on whether "information" is lost in a black hole, it makes readers eager to follow to the end to see who is going to win that war. And bit by bit, the author adds basic knowledge about the otherwise hard-stuff on astrophysics so that readers are able to follow what kind of war he is waging against.

However, the fun stops three-quarters into the book when the author starts talking about the string theory. As important as it is to know about this "new" stuff on astrophysics, I found the theory to be too difficult for a lay person to understand, albeit the author's attempt to simplify it. But thankfully, the space devoted to the theory is small enough that the confusion about the string theory does not destroy the fun from reading the preceding chapters.

5 Stars Science IS Stranger Than Fiction
This is a fantastic book for physics groupies. It's a very fast and (believe it or not) easy read. Complex concepts are laid out in simple analogies for the layman. Susskind explains most all current quantum physics concepts including string theory, holographic principle, multiple dimensions, conservation of data, and (of course) the black hole paradox. I also liked his side note about science being the study of the observable, therefore ideas about black holes leading to alternative universes, heaven, or hell cannot be considered valid hypothesis.

Much kudos to Susskind's editors! I've seen some of his lectures, and even the most elementary concept discussions he has a tendency to skip steps in explanations because they seem obvious to physicists. His editors held his feet to the ground and forced him to flesh out those elementary steps for the reader. On occasion, though, this doesn't happen. So expect a few concepts to have the "miracle happens here" step.

Susskind refers to Steven Hawking a lot in this book. I mean an exorbitant amount. Too much if you ask me. He clearly respects, admires, and challenges Hawking. We get it. No need to go overboard.

One other thing to remember while reading: the analogies drawn to help readers visualize concepts are, for the most part, one dimensional. What I mean is when the author describes something like `energy at the event horizon' as `resembling a TV set tuned to static', the analogy does not go any further than that. It doesn't mean energy shoots out from behind the surface, or it's a flat surface, or you can change the channel to I Love Lucy. It just resembles a static picture. Keep the context literal to understand the point clearly and don't `test' the analogies.

Buy this book it will blow your mind, educate you, and entertain you. This book epitomizes the phrase "Truth is stranger than fiction."
