In Kansas City, a prayer meeting has been going 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for more than 10 years. Now it's turning into a prophetic revival, according to some pastors, and it represents "a great awakening."

The Pew Forum has an interactive guide on the religiosity of the 50 states, as compared with the national average. Religion is most important to people in Mississippi, and least important to residents of New Hampshire and Vermont.
In the national average, 56% say that religion is very important to them.
In all of the states, more than 50% of the people polled believed in the existence of a god.

A Vatican court is expected to judge the woman who assaulted Pope Benedict XVI on Christmas Eve within a few weeks.
The 25-year-old woman, identified as Susanna Maiolo, jumped over a security barrier and knocked the pope to the ground at midnight mass in Saint Peter's Basilica.
