Vatican Information Service will be discontinued

The Vatican Information Service, created in 1991, is being discontinued.

For 21 years, it provided stories about the Pope, the Vatican and their official press releases.  It was also the first Vatican-related website to host a blog.

The Vatican Information Service's news announcements will be handled by the Vatican's website, News.va, which celebrated its first anniversary on June 28.

Beginning in September, the Official Bulletins of the Holy See will be published at Vatican.va.
