The last fugitive from the Aum Shinrikyo doomsday cult, wanted in connection with the 1995 Tokyo subway nerve gas attack, was arrested Friday after a 17-year manhunt, Reuters reports.
Katsuya Takahashi, 54, was arrested at a comic book café in the Tokyo neighborhood of Kamata Friday morning, after an employee spotted him and called police, according to broadcaster NHK and ABC News.
13 people were killed and 6,000 injured in the 1995 subway attack.
Takahashi's arrest rounds up a trio of fugitives who were at large since 1995 but who were all arrested this year. Thirteen people associated with the cult have been sentenced to death for the 1995 crime.
