For Greater Glory is the most expensive film ever made in Mexico's history, and big name actors and directors are associated with the movie. The film portrays a key point in Mexico's history with Catholicism and stars Andy Garcia, Eva Longoria, and Peter O' Toole. It is directed by Dean Wright, who was the visual effects producer for What Dreams May Come, Titanic, and Lord of the Rings.
The movie is centered on the Cristeros War (1926-1929), which was touched off by a rebellion against the Mexican government's attempt to secularize the country.
The film releases in Mexico on April 20 and In the United States on June 1.
