UPDATE @ 4:20 a.m. PST – A few hours after this story broke, the channel appears to have been reinstated. So far, there has been no explanation as to what happened.
Russia Today, which has offered thousands of unique news stories and content, some of which relates to religion, politics, the Occupy Movement, and stories either unreported or under-reported in American media, has been suspended by YouTube. Its channel on YouTube, with close to a quarter of a million subscribers, now comes up with the message, "This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, scams and commercially deceptive content." Its RT America account remains active on YouTube.
