Anti-gay Republican senator Stacey Campfield, who sponsored Tennessee's "Don't Say Gay" bill, was kicked out of the Bistro at the Bijou restaurant on South Gay Street in Knoxville by owner Martha Boggs who was disgusted by his remarks. Not only did Campfield sponsor the "Don't Say Gay" bill, but Mediaite reports that he also claimed that AIDs was spread only by homosexuals.
According to Boggs, it was her way to "stand up to a bully." The restaurant's Facebook page includes a post reading, “I hope that Stacy Campfield now knows what if feels like to be unfairly discriminated against.”
