Liberty Counsel: The world hates Tim Tebow because he is saving himself for marriage

According to Mat Staver and Matt Barber of the far right Christian legal advocacy group, Liberty Counsel, Tim Tebow is mocked and hated for his Christian faith by liberals and secularists.  They say that secularists will never understand Tebow's public expression of faith because they are "blinded" and will not understand it until they become Born Again Christians and have the gift of the Spirit.

Barber says that the world disrespects and persecutes Tebow in accordance with Mark 13:13 that reads, "All men will hate you because of Me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."  He went on to say that because Tebow reacts to criticism with kindness, he is "heaping hot coals" upon the heads of those who mock him.

Another reason people hate Tebow, according to Barber, is that the football player is an "advocate for purity" and is saving himself for "one man, one woman marriage."  Staver quickly agreed.  "That drives them crazy because he won't fit into the mold that they want him to be fit in," citing a scripture in Romans saying not to be "put into the mold of the world."

Barber recommends that Christians pray for Tebow because he will be assaulted by the world and that there will be "a temptation of young women throwing themselves at him."
