Brother Sam, given he is a fictional character, does not usually respond to criticism, but this time he took some time to say a few things concerning Christians who eavesdrop and atheists who call his show offensive to Christians.
He starts out stating that a fellow atheist criticized his shows as offensive to Christians. He only responded because the fellow atheist requested him to do so.
Brother Sam remarks that when Christians drop in to one of his shows, they risk exposures to various things, which he directs at fellow atheists. His aim is not to give offense, but to communicate and entertain atheists.
At times, some theists drop in and find his show thought provoking, but still, Brother Sam called theists eavesdropping and compares it to an old fashion telephone party line, found in the Ozarks, not less than thirty years ago. Even I can remember when my grandparents had a party line while living in Dora, Missouri, which is in Ozark County, which is two doors south of Texas County. Goddamn! Brother Sam and I were neighbours at one time… That is, if he were a real person.
Anyway, he states that when a theists drops in to visit one of his shows, they will see how the marginalized minority gathers to speak freely about the marginalizing majority and they should expect to see mockery of God, with irreverence. He even mentions that theists even criticize and mock non-believers, including Brother Sam, but he does not set out to make anyone mad.
Have a listen to what all he says and enjoy!
