The Right Wing Fox News now attacks the latest children show, a new Muppet Movie. Fox's "Follow the Money" host and guests accuse liberals of brainwashing children against Capitalism with the use of the Muppets.
Fox news called this latest Muppet Movie the liberal agenda to brainwash and turn children against Oil Companies. Such accusations sort of takes the fun out of children's media.
Last week, on the network's "Follow the Money" program, host Eric Bolling went McCarthy on the new, Disney-released film, "The Muppets," insisting that its storyline featuring an evil oil baron made it the latest example of Hollywood's so-called liberal agenda.
Eric Bolling, joined by Dan Gainor, took issue with the names in the movie. One of them was “Tex Richman”.
"It's amazing how far the left will go just to manipulate your kids, to convince them, give the anti-corporate message," he said.
"They've been doing it for decades. Hollywood, the left, the media, they hate the oil industry," Gainor continued. "They hate corporate America. And so you'll see all these movies attacking it, whether it was 'Cars 2,' which was another kids' movie, the George Clooney movie 'Syriana,' 'There Will Be Blood,' all these movies attacking the oil industry, none of them reminding people what oil means for most people: fuel to light a hospital, heat your home, fuel an ambulance to get you to the hospital if you need that. And they don't want to tell that story."
A businessman attacks the muppets’ home and the muppets try to save their home, but the movie says nothing about the environment, not even Kermit’s swamp. Supposedly, the muppets are not committed environmentalists in the movie. They just want to save the home they love. According to Huffington post, the movie does not teach that oil is bad.
However, Right Wing media insisted that this movie, as well as others, is brainwashing our children, instead of teaching them to care for our environment, our earth, which is our only home. The Right Wing does not call it an education. Instead they call it “indoctrinating” children.
"This is what they're teaching our kids. You wonder why we've got a bunch of Occupy Wall Street people walking around all around the country, they've been indoctrinated, literally, for years by this kind of stuff," Gainor said. "Whether it was 'Captain Planet' or Nickelodeon's 'Big Green Help,' or 'The Day After Tomorrow,' the Al Gore-influenced movie, all of that is what they're teaching, is that corporations is bad, the oil industry is bad, and ultimately what they're telling kids is what they told you in the movie 'The Matrix': that mankind is a virus on poor old mother Earth."
One of the women in the discussion on Fox News, stated that the American dream is to work hard and be successful, and no competitive source on the market besides crude oil. Accordingly, drilling for oil is not criminal and children should not learn the liberal agenda to save the planet.
Apparently, educating children to care for the environment and taking care of the only home we have, is not education, but indoctrination and brainwashing. They rather children learn how to rape the earth and destroy ourselves, because God said so and it is the American way. I feel a big eye-roll coming on right about now. Personally, I think greed is the root of all evil and Faux news, along with the Religious Reich, show the evil very well, even in their eyes.
What time is it? It’s Howdy Doody Time! Today boys and girls, Princess Summerfall Winterspring is going to teach you how to actually be successful! Get an education, take care of the earth, our only home, show compassion, watch the muppets, as well as Teletubbies, and stop listening to Reich Wing Media, which teaches how to burn and destroy everything and then say you are going to hell if you do not. Then the muppets will carry on with environmental education and maybe Faux News and other Reich Wingers will stop the greed, as well as picking on children's shows. OK, maybe the last is a dream, but we can unleash Animal on Faux news.
