A Romanian city mayor outraged Jewish and pro-democracy groups after he goose-stepped with his son in World War II German uniforms during a local fashion show.
In Romania, wearing a Nazi uniform is illegal. The mayor claimed that he was dressed in a German officer's uniform and was inspired by the movie Valkyrie, starring Tom Cruise, in which an officer attempted to assassinate Hitler.
An investigation has been called against the 41-year-old mayor.
