Game Show Aims to Convert Non-Believers

Reuters/Yahoo News reports that a new game show is about to air in Turkey, where clergy from four religions will try to convert ten atheists per episode. Amongst the religious will be a Muslim imam, a Christian priest, a rabbi and a Buddhist monk. Prizes will be trips to holy places; i.e., Mecca for Muslims, the Vatican for Christians, Jerusalem for Jews and Tibet for Buddhists.

Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate is refusing to provide an imam for the show, saying that the game show format is disrespectful to religion. The show's producer, however, says that the show will give the greatest gift of all: Belief in God.
