Non-Believers and Discrimination

This archived interview demonstrates why atheists have a hard time "coming out of the closet." In the first segment, Richard Dawkins appeared on CNN and talked about the misunderstanding that Americans have about atheists, and how non-believers are discriminated against.

The fear of becoming outcasts keeps many atheists underground. In a separate interview, CNN interviewed Ellen Johnson, president of American Atheists, asking if atheists have "brought the discrimination on themselves" by filing court cases that, according to non-believers who believe in the separation of church and state in upholding the Constitution.

Here in the States, a growing number of people are no longer affiliated with any religion. Yet, there are some Christian groups who continue to insist on blurring the lines of separation between church and state. For the non-churchgoers and freethinkers worldwide, this site features news, reviews and editorials on just about anything regarding religion.
