Vatican Announces $14.2 Million in Profits in 2010

The Vatican Press Office announced that it had a net profit of $14.2 million during the year 2010. The Vatican was purportedly "in the red" for the earlier three years. Donations had dropped by about 18%, but it picked up on earnings from a higher number of visitors to its museums.
In addition to cash, the Vatican holds stocks, bonds and real estate.
