LDS Website Hacked

The official LDS Twitter news site was hacked with anti-Mormon messages, and the site managers are still trying to figure out what happened.

The "tweets" said things such as "Joseph Smith made it up one day. What a liar!" and "Obey anything that any church leader has told you. Don't think for yourself. We will do the thinking for you."

The Deseret News, which posts official Mormon church news, was unable to access the Twitter site because the hacker had blocked them out by changing the passwords. Twitter did nothing until LDS attorneys contacted Twitter. It took four days for the site to be taken down.

Once everything is resolved, the LDS Church plans to continue Twittering its news.
