May 21 Judgment Day: Harold Camping estimates 200 Million People Will be Raptured Worldwide

Harold Camping, Christian radio broadcaster and president of Family Radio, who set the date of Judgment Day for May 21, 2011, has estimated that about 200 million people (approximately 3 percent of the world's population) will be Raptured worldwide. According to a FamilyRadio.com publication, "the Holy Bible tells us that only a small percentage of today’s world will turn from their evil ways, and with great humility and fear will cry to God for mercy. Nevertheless, the Bible assures us that many of the people who do beg God for His mercy will not be destroyed. We learn from the Bible that Holy God plans to rescue about 200 million people (that is about 3% of today’s population). On the first day of the Day of Judgment (May 21, 2011) they will be caught up (raptured) into Heaven because God had great mercy for them. "

According to Harold Camping, Rapture will begin from the Pacific Rim at about 6 p.m. local time, with a great earthquake "such as has never been in the history of the Earth" and all true Christians, estimated at about 200 million worldwide, will be Raptured.

What happens to the rest of us over five billion and eight hundred million unbelievers who remain behind? There will follow a period of 153 days of torture and torment after which God will destroy the entire universe, exactly on October 21. Thus, according to Harold Camping, we will face annihilation, total destruction, cease to be conscious for Camping and his group do not believe in eternal hell torment like most other Christian groups believe.

What then can we do to be saved? According to Harold Camping the "church age" is over so belonging to some church will not guarantee Rapture. The only requisite for Rapture is to believe with our whole heart that Harold Camping's set time of 6 p.m., May 21, 2011, is the moment and date of the Rapture.

Countless red flags here. First of all, he says that all churches are apostate except for HIS. He says that God isn't in the church anymore; He is on the radio, specifically, on Camping's radio broadcasts. Secondly, Camping is telling people to believe in HIM to have any luck in getting raptured.

Sorry. I will NOT believe in someone other than Jesus Christ, bro. If you didn't set yourself up as a false prophet before, you're sure doing a spectacular Vegas-style show of revealing it now.

I thought the Bible says "no man knows the date of the return" and yes, I am paraphrasing.

"But any prophet who falsely claims that his message is from me, shall DIE. And any prophet who claims to give a message from other gods must DIE. If you wonder, 'How shall we know whether the prophecy is from the Lord or not?' this is the way to know: IF the thing he prophesies doesn't happen, it is not the Lord who hwas given him the message; he has made it up himself. You have nothing to fear from him" – Deut 18:20-22
Seems to me the only question now is … who is going execute this false prophet when these 200 million AREN'T raptured on the 21st

Mormons believe differently. They will build a temple and city in Missouri called New Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ will personally reign. The American Indian must also rise up to become a righteous and respected people. According to the Book of Mormon, the American Indian carries a curse, and their skin will become white as a further indication that they have become righteous and respected.
According to the Mormons, Adam-ondi Ahman in Daviess County, Missouri, is the site where Adam and Eve lived after being expelled from the Garden of Eden, and will be a gathering spot for a meeting of Mormon leadership, including prophets of all ages and other righteous Mormons, prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Mormon founder, Joseph Smith, Jr., taught that the Garden of Eden was located in the vicinity of Independence, Missouri, and that after Adam and Eve were banished from the garden, they went to Adam-ondi-Ahman. Mormon prophecy states that before the Second Coming, Adam will convene a meeting there to officially turn the governments of the entire world over to Jesus Christ who reportedly heads the Mormon church on a daily basis through his modern day prophet, Thomas Monson in Salt Lake City, UT. The Mormon leadership is overseeing the many events leading up to the Second Coming and eventual takeover of all governments of the world–starting with the White House in 2012.

I am very sad for those who have been following this lie that the rapture will occur on May 21st. Even if they attempt to explain away “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the Father” (Mark 13:32), they cannot explain away that most every Christian, theologian, scholar, and prophet from the first Century until the Nineteenth Century all believed that the church would go through the Great Tribulation and not escape through some secret rapture that would leave the world paralyzed. I pray that they will take a moment and read my book, “Final Warning” because the hour of is His judgment has come. http://www.revelation-truth.org

Don't you see what Camping may be trying to do? I have heard nor read anyone put forth the following theory. It crossed my mind a few days ago. Today i seem to have a clearer picture. Could it be that Camping KNOWS the world will not end in May or October? Remember, he was expelled from his church in 1988. Seems to me he has had a personal vendetta against the church ever since; maybe even Christianity.

This man knows that if he gives another date and plasters on billboards the world over "The Bible Gurantees it!" doesn't that sound like he's trying to put the bible and christianity itself on the spot. So when the 21st of May passes instead of, as he says, millions of people dying; millions of people may turn from the church and christianity. Satan will have done his job through Camping.

Think about it. Why would he say the church age ended? Come out of the churches because the Holy Spirit is, to use his phrasing, "not operating there anymore?" I believe his false prophecies are a deception within a deception. Satan is poisonously clever. He is constantly coming up with new schemes and angles to deceive.

It's just my take on this false prophecy; because i know people will say if this theory of yours is true then why in the world would this man risk people coming after him after altering there personal lives spiritually and financially forever? That i cannot answer.
