No Bible Reading in Show and Tell


A Court of Appeals ruled in favor of a school district that did not allow a mother to read the bible during show and tell at a public kindergarten in Philadelphia.   Although the mother said that the bible was her son's favorite book, a babysitter had testified that the boy's favorite was Brown Bear, Brown Bear.   The court found in its 2-1 ruling that the mother had religious motives in choosing to read the bible to the children.
