Gay Marriage in Utah by 2013?

Will Utah get rid of its gay marriage ban by 2013? Because of the strong Mormon influence in the state, most people have assumed that it would be the last state to lift a ban on gay marriage.

However, a recent study by a respected political analysis blog looked at the way that ballots were cast in states that banned same-sex marriage and concluded that Utah would not be the last state in the Union to lift the ban. The researchers were surprised, but conservatives wonder whether Utah's LDS population was factored in strong enough. Watch the video below to understand why the surveyors are well-regarded and what factors were considered.

The study concluded that gay marriage will be legal across the majority of states by 2016 and that the State of Mississippi would be the last state to lift the ban.

The study was conducted by 538.com.

I have nothing against gay marriage what i don't agree is the fact that the make public their love… I understand when they are in the stree and no kids around but when there is kid involve that is not right!!!

You mean public affection PDA?? not sure what exactly you mean here.

Have you ever seen a straight couple show affection around kids? There's no difference between innapropriate straight or gay PDA. Im gay, but i hate it when i see two gay or two straight people touch or kiss as though they think or dont care others are watching. I have seen a straight couple groping each other around kids. i've seen gay and lesbian couples kissing in a way i would NOT kiss in public. I feel holding hands, hugging, a quick kiss is fine, gay or straight.

If you dont like how they make thier love public, which…im not sure what exact way you mean…dont hold your partners hand, dont kiss them, or look at them loveingly, if there are kids around.

Not all of us are inapropriate in public. I'm the exact opposite, in fact i'm almost scared to hold another girls hand in public, let alone kiss them, for fear somebody will see and call me a dyke.

And on another note, thank you for supporting gay marriage!

people talk aboout protecting marriage. Brittney Spears got married for 50 hours, yet that's ok because it was one man- one woman. People marry strangers on TV for money

Gays will not destroy marriage, it's those who marry for the wrong reason that destroy it.
I feel marriage should last forever. it's not legal here in Pa., but i hope to be able to marry, once i find that girl i want to spend the rest of my life with

Thanks for supporting my right to be married, and sorry for spelling errors and if i confused what you were trying to say :-)

I agree, Christina … I'm not keen on public displays of affection, gay or straight, either.

You're so right about Brittany Spears' 50 hour marriage and marriage to strangers on television. Of course, murderers and rapists who are in prison can also marry. This only shows what a joke the "sanctity of marriage" argument really is.

Good luck to you in PA.
        Deborah
