Rethink Church, the next evolution of The United Methodist Church's "Open hearts" welcoming and advertising campaign kicked off on May 5 and 6 with major launch events in New York City and Washington, D.C., and other cities nationwide.
The ad reaches out to non-churchgoers, saying that in a skeptical world, actions speak louder than words.
Culture wars are not a part of this ad campaign. Neither is Jesus mentioned. Instead, the ad focuses on the good that a church can do for the community, promising to open hearts, open minds and open doors.
