In the King James version, God does not call Adam and Eve "human" as in the translation that Chelev is reading. The King James text reads at Genesis 5:2, "Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created." Does "Adam" mean human and if that is the case, were the people who Cain went off to live with not human?
What happened to Enoch, who "walked with God" and was then "taken by God" when he was 365 years old? According to John 3:13 in the New Testament, " And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." Why is there nothing more than a couple of sentences about Enoch, who clearly was unusual compared with the others?
