Westboro Baptist Church At It Again

Opening night for Corono Del Mar's High School production of Rent is clouded with an anticipated visit from the Westboro Baptist Church, the Kansas group that protests at military funerals and other events over gay rights. The play is about struggling New York artists who include straight and gay people.

Local police are organizing crowd control measures.

The Orange County high school's theater director does not think that God hates gays, nor does he think that God hates the protesters.

  1. Thanks for spreading the word about this radical hate group! My kids go to CDHS and it was disgusting seeing these people protesting.

It would appear that the "casting the first stone" parable is not something the Westboro Baptist Church believes in.
