A Look at the Jewish Passover Celebration

Passover starts on the Jewish calendar, which is a lunar calendar.   Like the Christian Lent and Easter, the Passover date is "floating." It generally falls sometime in April or May.

Based on the Old Testament, Passover is the celebration of the Jewish exodus from Egypt and lasts for eight days.

The Jewish Passover celebration includes the removal of all leaven from their homes, eating unleavened bread, and a special service called a Seder which includes dining with special foods and plates.
