Egyptians experience personal change after uprising

EgyptYoung people are cleaning up their streets, neighborhoods and universities in Egypt. Women are able to work alongside of young men in doing so, which would have been unthinkable before the uprising.

Small revolutions are taking place across the country. There have been collective labor uprisings for better pay, labor protections and training. Gender roles are being rethought. Others say they are feeling an inner strength and sense of empowerment that they had not felt before.

Egyptians now talk back to police and soldiers, something they would have never done before the uprising.
