Mike Ellis has published a compelling argument as to why denial of gay marriage can be a violation of the Constitution. He cites some examples:
"Not only are anti-gay-marriage laws an imposition of one group's religious beliefs on another (in violation of the first amendment's establishment clause), they are also an interference on the right of people to practice their religion as they see fit (in violation of the same amendment's free exercise clause)," he writes.
His opinion piece was published at the Daily Camera this Sunday.
