"Magic" Potions Made with Albino Body Parts

The BBC reports that the Tanzania government is urging people to report the names of persons who are responsible for killing albinos. The body parts, such as limbs, hair, skin and genitals, are supposedly purchased by witchdoctors who use them to make "magic" potions.

These "traditional" medicine practitioners make "potions" out of the body parts that are supposed to make people wealthy.

According to the BBC, in a society that believes in witchcraft, it's unclear if the reporting will be effective … or if people will simply use the reporting system as a way to get revenge on others who may not be involved in albino killing.
