Mark's portrayal is very different from Luke's portrayal of the resurrection of Jesus. The book of Matthew talks about "Saints" rising from their graves and walking around Jerusalem when Jesus dies, but the other gospels are silent.
For those who actually read the Bible, the discrepancies are often not apparent. Why is this?
Bart Ehrman says to read the gospels, read them horizontally instead of vertically. When you compare what happened with each event, the accounts are very different. As to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, compare each event described in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and it becomes clear that the inerrant word of God is filled with different accounts.
The people who visit the tomb, whether the stone is rolled away from the tomb, whether an angel is present, what happens after it is discovered that Jesus' body is gone and so forth are very different and conflicting.
Deist John Armstrong, Author of God vs. the Bible, spent time putting together a timeline of the Jesus story depicted in the Gospels and known history. Armstrong's work demonstrates how the gospels all contradict one another and historical accounts.
