5 Stars Nice and Relaxing Way to Experience the Bible
Vader reads the Bible, what could be better? In all seriousness, this is a nice and relaxing way to hear the Bible. It's definitely better to read the words for yourself, but not everybody enjoys reading. The music is pretty loud but it doesn't drown out his voice or anything. It's all instrumental. Go get it from a library if you feel like you're going to "waste your money."

The value lies in the words being read. I would be interested in hearing what someone thinks of this if they've never heard these books of the Bible before. I've read them before but not in a while.

Nice experience. Well worth the time.

1 Star Only the New Testament
When it said that it includes the entired New Testament. Dummy Me thought it would have the Old Testament with it. What is a bible if it doesn't have the Old Testament too. I was so excied to give this as a gift to a friend that can't read. He was just starting to get into religion. What a heartbreak!

2 Stars overrated
I bought this series, but was disappointed. By the package review, I was expecting wonderful things, but the reading was excessively breathy, choppy, and occasionally halting. Furthermore it contains only the NT, not the whole Bible. The music is just to introduce new books of the Bible and is only a short repetitive phrase. Alexander Scourby is much superior in my opinion.

5 Stars Want to know and understand the Bible?
My husband is truck driver, and has little time for reading, however it has become important for him to hear the word of God. I purchased this CD set for him to take on the road with him. In three days he had heard all of the New Testament. He listens to it again as he feels he needs to, and now we are waiting for the Old Testament to be republished.

5 Stars Greatest audio book in the world!
James Earl Jones does an awesome job. He has such a captivating voice and you never tire of listening to him. And what better book to listen to than God's Holy Word? I had no doubt that I would love it, having read the Bible before. And the King James Version is the only version in my book! This is definitely the Greatest Story Ever Told.
