5 Stars Reveiling
This is the closest thing to the book of Revelations in the bible that I can find. It puts Revelations into modern day and shows the reader what you can expect is coming for a world without Jesus.

I have enjoyed reading this book. I was able to read the book in less than three days.

2 Stars Weakly Written
This is the only book I have read of the Left Behind series, and I read it from a critical standpoint. I can understand all the hype due to the subject matter of biblical prophecy speculative fiction. The problem is that the authors were not really up to the task. And their religious views show through too strongly in the writing, such as their disdain for Catholics and utter animosity towards Muslims. The characters, who were meant to represent ordinary people in different degrees of sin and grace, are written to convey exactly that. As a result, they come across as shallow and insufficiently motivated for their behaviors. Thus, they are more like Sunday School lessons rather than real people, and betray signs of literary inexperience by the authors. The scenes, if you would call them such, involve only dialogues or silent reflections and do nothing to evoke any visual emotion in the reader. In fact, all emotion is of a purely religious nature. Although this may be the author's goal, that being to evoke religious feelings, it takes away from the foundation of any good piece of literature which requires evocations based on setting, character, and conflict. It was clear that the authors did little to research the lives or careers of real people in creating these characters. And I would wager that neither of them have ever met a Muslim face to face. That being said, I gave it the benefit of the doubt with two stars. It is a quick read, primarily a high school reading level. And I have seen professional writers do much worse.

5 Stars Prelude to an excellent saga
Although the authors wrote this story in 2006 – 2 years after the "Glourious Appearing" they made it flow very well. As such, it is a necessary must read before embarking upon the entire "left Behind" Series. Although the "Rising" and "Regime" are important in setting the stage of the Series – The "Rapture" sets the tone of this prophecy saga.

5 Stars The Left Behind Movie and Series SAVED ME!
I don't even know where to begin. Let me start with that your series of this book was recommended by a fellow believer at my work. I watched the movie on youtube and I broke down hysterically and I was so lifted. I couldn't stop crying. I'm a 6' 6" gay man who needed someone to reach him. I was living a lie in my personal life until I came across this series. I asked for forgiveness in the Lord that same night. I highly recommend anyone who is lost PLEASE read this entire series. Start with the prequel books first (The Countdown to The Rapture) all three, then start with Left Behind. This is one of the most influential, inspiring book series that has moved, touched, gave me peace like i've never experienced in my entire life. Dr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkins thank you so much! You recieved another believer because of the spreading the word.
