Vietnam May Be More Receptive to Vatican


The Catholic Church is growing quickly in Vietnam, with 6 million Catholic faithful.  The Catholics in Vietnam are young and enthused, but have had trouble with the government. The communist leadership has traditionally been suspicious of organized religion.

However, for the first time ever, the Roman Catholic Pope may meet the president of Vietnam in what could be a tentative step towards formal diplomatic relations.

Al Jazeera's Divya Gopalan reports from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam's capital, about developments between Vietnam and the Vatican.
