They've tried everything from bars, cementing the windows and installing fences to protect their church, but thieves continue to break into the Living Church of God in Kansas City, Missouri. This time, burglars busted through a cemented window and stole copper piping, copper wiring and sound equipment.
After the copper piping was stolen, water flooded the basement. The heating and air conditioning unit no longer works due to the theft of wiring.
It will cost the church approximately $20,000 to repair the damages. They are hoping that their insurance can help. In the meantime, the congregation is meeting at neighboring churches.
