Two silver trumpets are created to be blown when the cloud has lifted and it's time to travel.  They're also to be blown in conjunction with the animal sacrifices and blown as a call to war.

The cloud lifts and the people follow it out of the Sinai wilderness into the wilderness of Paran.

Discussion Points.

As pointed out in the Skeptic's Annotated version of the King James Version, there are discrepancies about who Moses' father-in-law is.  Numbers 10 says it's Hobab, but it's Jethro and Reuel in other chapters.
