Buying Cardinal Dougherty High School

Students and parents have been trying to save a Philadelphia Catholic high school which is scheduled to close at the end of the school year.

Wealthy alumni are ready to buy the Cardinal Dougherty high school and run it as an independent Catholic school, but the high price tag offered by the diocese is raising questions.

    Why wouldn't the diocese want to get rid of the school at any price if they don't want it anymore? I mean, wouldn't making some money off of it be better than none at all and if they just close it what are they gaining from it? Just a thought…
