The Live Nativity Scene at the Supreme Court

Faith and Action and the Christian Defense Coalition staged the first ever live nativity scene in front of the US Supreme Court and across the street from the US Capitol. The event was part of the launch of the 2009 Project Nativity and Operation Nativity programs aimed at encouraging public Christmas manger displays on public and private property.

The group claims that this is to combat growing hostility toward faith and to embrace their religious liberties. They say that the nativity scenes promote the message, "Peace on Earth, Goodwill Towards Men."
