"We're in greater danger now than in the Civil War," claimed James Dobson when he accepted the Ronald Reagan Lifetime Achievement Award.
Here are highlights from Dobson's speech at the annual meeting of the Council for National Policy.
He claims that Republicans cannot "run" from the "great morals of our time" such as gay marriage and the sanctity of life. If they do avoid these issues, they will be obscure for the next 40 years.
Dobson says that the country needs politicians who will oppose the "evils of liberalism," and that they must "bathe their efforts in prayer."
