Hundreds Attend Arkansas Church Online Every Week

The Rock Creek church says at least 5,000 people attend its services every week and that hundreds attend online.     The church upgraded its technology to provide live streaming video and archived services.   The online service gives people who might be bedridden, simply curious, or out of state a chance to experience what the church offers.

  1. This is very interesting. I can see some very good benefits to having service online while there are certainly some downfalls. It's definitely good for the things you mentioned: people who might be bedridden, simply curious, or out of state. But I think one of the most important things about going to a church service is the fellowship and the human interaction. Very interesting though.

I think you're right, Bernina. I suspect that many churchgoers are motivated to attend, in part, for the social interaction.
