Recently my husband, Steve, and I were driving along Pacific Coast Highway between Laguna Beach and Dana Point, CA. I can't remember where we were coming back from (not that it matters) and I had my cell phone out snapping pictures of the ocean. It was a beautiful cloudless day, and I suppose I was just hoping to capture the beauty of the teal looking ocean, which is rare in our end of the Pacific, but that's how it appeared that day.
As I looked at my phone screen to frame the next shot, I noticed the last shot had a bright blob in the center of the frame. I couldn't really tell what it was, my display isn't that big. I looked out toward the ocean to see if there was anything out there that could account for it, and there was nothing. I took several more pictures to try and recreate it, but nothing even close came up again. I thought maybe it was a reflection on a passing light pole or wire, or any number of different things – a sign perhaps, or a reflection from a passing car. Then I got side tracked and forgot about it completely. I put my cell phone away and didn't think about it again until I was scrolling through pictures at work a few days later. I came across the mysterious white blob photo so decided to show it to a co-worker, but it wasn't much to see on my cell phone. Then I forgot about it again.
Finally, a few weeks later after taking some other pictures that I wanted to upload to my computer, I finally got a good look at the mysterious bright blob that appeared in the center of my picture over the ocean around Laguna Beach that day – and boy was I ever surprised. As open minded as I am, and as into paranormal stuff as I am, I've never seen a UFO before (that I know of) and have never once contemplated the possibility that perhaps there are objects in our air space all the time, which are cloaked so we are unable to view them. And somehow for some inexplicable reason, I got lucky that day.
This is the picture I took that day, and yet nothing like this was visible to the naked eye. Like I said, the sky was clear and blue. The photo has not been doctored in any way – I only zoomed in and cropped it for full effect. If anyone has a rational explanation, or insight into what it might be, please feel free to respond, because I am beyond intrigued.
