A college football player in North Dakota says he was kicked off his team for being gay.
Linebacker Jamie Kuntz, who played for North Dakota State College of Science, says the problem arose when he was seen kissing his boyfriend while sitting out of a game due to a concussion.
(The news video will load in 1-2 seconds.)
The Young Turks says there's another twist to the story. Kuntz is 18 and his "boyfriend" is 65 years old. They add that Kuntz said, "People around here aren't exposed to it. People expect gays to be flamboyant, not football players."
Football coach Chuck Parsons told Kuntz in a letter that he was removed from the team for lying about the kiss … an allegation that the Young Turks' commentators say does not ring true.
