Religious right SuperPAC claims that the president is trying to impose gay marriage on America

According to an ad from the Campaign for American Values, a SuperPAC that supports the Republican Romney/Ryan presidential ticket, President Obama is "forcing gay marriage on this country."  The SuperPAC has ties with Christian evangelical leader Gary Bauer.

In the ad, a man asks his wife why she is upset.  "The president is trying to force gay marriage on this country.  That's not the change I voted for," she remarks.  "Marriage is between a man and a woman."

"That's not the change I voted for, either," the husband says.

"First of all, if you were to parody a right wing anti-gay ad, there would be no difference," opined commentator David Pakman of The David Pakman Show.  "And the other part is, this idea that Obama is forcing straight people to have gay marriages, he's forcing gay marriage upon America? [...]  This is like seeing an ad a long time ago where a religious couple wakes up and says, 'Dear, I am upset.  They're trying to push Capernican theory on us.  They want to impose on us that the sun is at the center of our solar system when we know, because the church told us, that it's the earth at the middle."
