Jesus takes on a new look in 'restored' painting

Citing a story published by Gawker, The Young Turks' Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur reported on what may be the worst restoration of a Jesus painting ever.

Apparently, an elderly Spanish woman took it upon herself to restore a painting donated to the Centro de Estudios Borjanos in Borja, Spain, by the granddaughter of 19th-century painter Elías García Martínez. According to Gawker, "At the time, the Centro knew of only one painting by Martínez in Borja — Ecce Homo, a fresco on the walls of the church of Santuario de Misericordia."

The woman who "restored" the painting reportedly took it upon herself to do the work, without first asking permission.

Funny! Not sure I could do better, but I'm wondering if they checked her abilities before they hired her.

It's a simple matter of wearing the wrong glasses while restoring.
